Introducing Frido Croes (Aruba)

 

   

 

 

 

The authorized Minister of Aruba F. W. Croes

Francisco Walfrido (Frido) Croes was born on December 3, 1957 in Aruba. After obtaining his high school (HAVO) diploma, he studied to become a teacher at the Arubaanse Pedagogische Academie (Aruban Educational Academy). Following his studies, Mr. Croes worked as a teacher for the Colegio San Jose in Santa Cruz. The last four years he served also as functioning head of this school. Between 1994 and 2001 Mr. Croes was working as the Liaison Officer of Public Education at the Office of Education.

In 1988 Mr. Croes became a member of the ‘Movimiento Electoral di Pueblo’ (MEP). From 1989 until 1994 he sat for the MEP in the Aruban Parliament. From 1993-1994 Mr. Croes also served as vice-chairman of the Parliament.

In 2001 he was chosen as Chairman of the Parliament. In 2004 Mr. Croes was asked to take over the portfolio of Education and Administrative Affairs from Mr. Fredis Refunjol after his appointment as Governor of Aruba.
With the inauguration of the Cabinet Oduber IV November 8, 2005, Mr. Frido Croes was appointed the authorized Minister of Aruba in the Netherlands.
