Solution-Focused World Conference 2027: bringing ideas into practice

On 2 and 3 April 2027, solution-focused professionals from around the world will meet in Amsterdam for Solution V: the fifth Solution-Focused World Conference.

What happens when people working in different fields come together around one question: how can a solution-focused approach create meaningful change? The conference offers two days to explore that question through presentations, practical sessions and conversations with colleagues from across the world.

This edition centres on sustainable impact through solution-focused psychology, with applications in families, schools, organisations and society.

Learning across professional boundaries

Solution-focused ideas travel between disciplines. A question that opens up a new possibility in a family conversation may also inspire a teacher, coach or team leader to look differently at their work.

The conference welcomes professionals in mental health, education, youth care, community work, organisational development and public policy. Bringing these perspectives together creates opportunities to exchange experiences, examine practical applications and make new connections.

A programme built around practice and exchange

The programme spans Friday 2 and Saturday 3 April 2027, with a meet and greet planned for Thursday evening. Alongside presentations, the conference includes workshops, demonstrations and opportunities for conversation.

Arnoud Huibers, co-founder of Solutions Centre, is one of the conference hosts. For Solutions Centre, international exchange is closely connected to professional learning: meeting colleagues from other contexts can help us reflect on our own practice and discover new ways to apply familiar ideas.
